The AXL USA 1216 Artist features Seymour Duncan Seth Lover pickups - one of the most authentic sounding PAF-style humbuckers made today - co-designed by Seymour Duncan and the inventor of the humbucker, Seth Lover. Under the hood, CTS pots are connected by cloth- covered wire, just like the famed original guitars that inspired this version. We use Orange Drop capacitors and feature a unique "volume kit" that keeps the treble frequencies at the same level the player desires even when the volume pot itself is rolled off.TonePros' tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece are used to get the most tone and sustain possible, as well as the added convenience of the TonePros locking mechanisms. We hand press every fret with some of the highest quality fretwire available; we level and dress them for flawless playing in any register. Add features like a solid mahogany body and set neck, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and a Graphtech Tusq nut, and this guitar is 100% stage ready right out of the box. The USA 1216 Classic model features all of the above but substitutes AXL Alnico pickups and is offered at a lower cost with factory bridge/tailpiece and no "volume kit."

The Dean Vendetta Series
With four models to choose from, the Vendettas have string-through-body design, classic Dean V Ferrule pattern, dual Humbuckers, a 25.5-inch scale, and solid mahogany bodies with a maple neck. The Vendetta 1.0 and 2.0 are bolt-on models with black hardware. The 2.0 model features a solid flame maple top. The Vendetta 3.0 and 4.0 sport neck-through construction with the Pearl Evil Eye inlay running the length of the fretboard. The 4.0 version has a beautiful quilted maple top and is available in an all too popular "Tiger Eye" finish.

Mahogany Body
As with most of their instruments, Dean uses a mahogany body for the Vendettas. Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain.

The quilted maple top and back means a guitar that looks amazing, and it also focuses and brightens that mahogany tone a bit.

Neck-Through-Body Construction
The Vendetta 4.0 features neck-through construction, which is typically found on high-end instruments. This means maximized sustain, resonance throughout the whole instrument, further tuning stabilization, and (as with set necks) easier access to the upper frets.

The 25.5-inch scale maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with pearl "Evil Eye" inlays.

Dean Humbucker Pickups
To capture the biting tones of vintage Deans, the company includes two of its "Time Capsule" humbuckers. These pickups should provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination, and volume and tone controls are provided.

Grover Tuners
If you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These guitar machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.
